PROFESSION PREPARATION ROUTE
Preparation route for software testing

Separate requirements, expected results and observed differences. The linked senior test-lead profile does not represent requirements for every entry-level role.
Testing scope
- Bound the fictional behaviour in one sentence.
- Separate a stated requirement from your own assumption.
- Use only the provided desk exercise; do not test unauthorised systems.
Write scenarios
- Choose one normal case and one boundary case.
- Separate prerequisite, input, action and expected result.
- Turn an ambiguous requirement into a question rather than inventing an outcome.
Defect note
- Separate observed behaviour from reproduction steps.
- Give context without real product data or access keys.
- Do not mark a test passed when you did not observe its result.
Sample file
- Map fictional reservation rules to six scenarios.
- Show which rules remain uncovered in a small table.
- Do not present exercise design as a real system test report.
